SGA prepares for the spring semester

The Student Government Association held its first meeting of the spring semester on Jan. 27 where students discussed new opportunities on campus.

Members discussed a charter organization request for the Loyola University Performance Organization. A student proposed hosting occasional cabarets on campus for interested students to encourage them to perform in front of peers.

Members also discussed upcoming campus events such as the Loyola Dance Marathon hosted by Omicron Delta Kappa, a leadership fraternity. Students and campus organizations will be encouraged to assemble teams and participate in dance activities to benefit the Children’s Hospital of New Orleans. This event will occur in February.
