Loyola’s men’s basketball team received 24 votes in the NAIA preseason poll released Tuesday, Oct. 23. Loyola racked up the 28th most votes in the entire poll. The team finished the 2011-12 season as the Southern States Athletic Conference West Division Champions. The season finished with a 20-10 overall record and 11-7 mark in SSAC play. In upcoming games, the team will compete against other schools rated in the poll including Lee, which ranked 15th, Xavier which ranked 19th, and Southern-New Orleans which ranked 24th in the NAIA preseason poll.
