Police say 34 people suspected of dealing drugs on the street level in the French Quarter were arrested on Nov. 11.

State Police Superintendent Col. Mike Edmonson said the arrests follow an approximately six month undercover investigation.

Edmonson told a news conference the arrests were part of an effort to change the culture of the French Quarter.
