Are you in need of an authentic fix of Mexican food amid dangling piñatas and colorful decorations reminiscent of Mexico? Felipe’s will serve you anything from tacos and quesadillas to super burritos and pork tamales, as mild or as hot as you want them. Even vegetarian students like Elle Walker, sociology senior, find something to suit their tastes.

“They have yummy vegetarian options, too, like the grilled vegetable burrito. It is definitely my favorite place to go for a burrito in New Orleans.” This restaurant has a relaxed and fun vibe that attracts people from all ages. Great for students on a budget, this restaurant also offers a variety of drinks like their Fresh Squeezed Key Limeade and Horchata Rice milk along with desserts such as flan and churros. As Walker puts it, the place has many benefits for all and is especially appealing to college students.

“It’s great for a meal on the go, and also a good place to hang around with friends and have a cheap, relaxing dinner,” Walker said.
