Nutella Peanut Butter Cereal Bars

Let’s face it-not all of us have immediate access to a kitchen. At Wolf Magazine, we recognize this and have compiled a few recipes that can be made in a residence hall without one. All ingredients can be found in The Market, dubbed “C-Store” by students. Not only will a microwave be the greatest extent of cooking, but here’s a reason to spend that plethora of Wolfbucks.

“Grilled” Cheese Sandwich

– Two slices of bread

– Cheese (we recommend the Colby-Monterey Jack blend)

– Foil

Cut cheese into desired form and place between two slices of bread. Next, wrap this sandwich in foil. Have an iron preheated to its highest level, and once it’s ready, place it on that sandwich. After about a minute on both sides, your “grilled” cheese should be ready. And since the iron doesn’t get messy, maybe it’s time to fix that wrinkly shirt, too.

Nutella Peanut Butter Cereal Bars

– Nutella

– Peanut butter

– Cheerios

Scoop some Nutella into a bowl and microwave it for 30 seconds. Stir, and microwave for another 30 seconds or until melted. In that same bowl, add some peanut butter. Go for two parts Nutella, one part peanut butter. Add Cheerios to your liking. Mix well and transfer the mixture onto a plate. Shape it into a square or rectangle, and pop it in the fridge. In two hours, it should be solid enough to cut into bars. Enjoy as a quick breakfast before class.

Bagel Pizza

– Bagel

– Tomato sauce

– Cheese

Slice open the bagel, add tomato sauce and sprinkle cheese. Microwave for 30 to 45 seconds and you’re done. Think of it as a massive version of Bagel Bites as you reminisce about childhood, a time before exams and projects.

Ramen Spaghetti

– Ramen noodles (not the cup noodles)

– Tomato sauce

– Cheese (optional)

Open the Ramen package and toss the seasoning packet in the trash. Place noodles in a bowl with enough water to cover them. Microwave for four to five minutes. Once the noodles are ready, drain the water and top with tomato sauce. Add cheese if you’re daring.

One-Minute Nachos

– Tortilla chips

– Chili

– Salsa

– Cheese

Place chips on a plate and top with as much chili as you want. Add cheese and microwave for 30 seconds. Easy, quick and perfect for game day.
