TONIGHT, LOYOLA SENIORS WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO DISPLAY THEIR ACTING SKILLS IN THE ANNUAL SENIOR ONE-ACTS FESTIVAL. THE SHOW BEGINS AT 7 PM AND ADMISSION IS FREE FOR EVERYONE. MAROON MINUTE REPORTER ERIN SNODGRASS STOPPED BY THE SHOW YESTERDAY AND GIVES US A PREVIEW OF WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO SEE TONIGHT…

GOLF UPDATE

MOVING ONTO SPORTS NEWS..

THE WOMEN’S GOLF TEAM TRAVELED TO MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA TO PLAY IN THE 2017 SOUTHERN STATES ATHLETIC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT.

THEY FINISHED THE FIRST DAY OF ACTION IN FIFTH PLACE AFTER THE TEAM SHOT A COMBINED 327.

DALTON STATE LEADS THE FIELD OF EIGHT TEAMS AFTER DAY ONE WITH A SCORE OF 304.

THE TOURNAMENT WILL PICK BACK UP TODAY AND WRAP UP ON WEDNESDAY.

NEW VOLLEYBALL COACH

THE LOYOLA WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL TEAM WILL HAVE A NEW LEADER OF THE PACK NEXT FALL…

THE SCHOOL HAS JUST ANNOUNCED JESSE ZABAL AS THE NEW HEAD COACH FOR THE WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL PROGRAM…

SHE TAKES THIS NEW POSITION AFTER SHE SPENT THE LAST FOUR YEARS AS THE HEAD COACH FOR THE ALLIANCE VOLLEYBALL CLUB IN FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE. SHE LED ALLIANCE TO A 31-7 OVERALL RECORD IN THE LAST TWO YEARS AND ALSO WON TWO TOURNAMENT TITLES DURING THAT TIME.

ZABAL WILL BE THE SIXTH HEAD COACH IN PROGRAM HISTORY..
