Mardi Gras Indian Culture explored at Treme Gumbo Festival

Presented by Shaka Zulu of the Golden Feather, the Mardi Gras Indian Meet-n-Greet & Treme Gumbo Festival will be held on Nov. 14.

Attendees will be able to learn about the rich history of the Mardi Gras Indian tradition and the history behind their unique attire.

After the meet-n-greet, students can enjoy the performances of New Orleans brass bands and R&B tunes in Armstrong Park at the eighth annual Treme Gumbo Festival. Tickets are $5 for students.
