Armstrong’s music brought to life at Satchmo Summerfest

With a set list of talented jazz musicians and a summer weekend, the annual Satchmo Summerfest gives tribute to New Orleanian jazz legend, Louis Armstrong.

The festival will take place at the Old U.S. Mint from July 31 to Aug. 2. Local performers will take stage to commemorate the late musicians music. Summerfest goers can attend talks and seminars concerning Armstrong, while also visiting a number of smaller musical performances within the Old Mint. In addition, some of New Orleans’ local restaurants and culinary artists will provide food at and around the festival.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit fqfi.org/satchmo.
