New director appointed for School of Nursing

Dr. Patricia Pearce, program coordinator for Loyola University’s Doctor of Nursing Practice, has been appointed as the new interim director for Loyola’s School of Nursing for a one year term beginning August 1.
Dr. Mary Oriol was the interim director for the past two years. Pearce has been previously selected as a Distinguished Fellow and Scholar in the National Academies of Practice, and as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Congratulations, Dr. Pearce! Please note, Dr. Pearce is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners merged with the American College of Nurse Practitioners to for the American Association of Nurse Practitioners on January 1, 2013.
