Brief: Law professor plays law clinic director in HBO’s Treme

Law professor Majeeda Snead made her acting debut on the New Orleans-based television show Treme.

She played the director of the law clinic and acted in scenes filmed several places throughout downtown New Orleans.

Snead is a clinical professor in the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic and Center for Social Justice at Loyola Law. The Urban League of Greater New Orleans honored her for being the first African-America Woman serving as law clinic directors.

Although Professor Snead enjoyed her acting debut, she has no intentions leaving the law clinic anytime soon.
