On Sunday April 22 at 6 a.m., the Ochsner Ironman Triathlon begins. The race consists of a 1.2- mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride and a 13.1-mile run. The start of the race will be at Lakeshore Drive and Bayou St. John Bridge. Participants will race through the city of New Orleans and finish right in front of the Blue Angels Air Show at the University of New Orleans.
