Brief: Plans for Family Weekend are solidified

Family Weekend, Friday, Sept. 27, through Sunday, Sept. 29, will be a way for families to reconnect with students after leaving home. With the beginning of a new academic year, Family Weekend allows students’ families to experience Loyola as they do. The weekend will begin with a welcome reception featuring local foods and performances by student musicians.

This year’s events for parents and students include classroom shadowing, an open house dedication of Cabra Hall, bus tours around the city, a study abroad fair and night time salsa dance lessons. There will be a daily mass in St. Ignatius Chapel on Friday and a vigil mass in Holy Name of Jesus church on Saturday.

Registration is required to attend. Attendance of family and friends is $80 each and free for Loyola students.
