Brief: Teens plead not guilty in rape, abduction

NEW ORLEANS (AP) – Three teenagers accused of abducting, robbing and raping a woman at gunpoint last month have pleaded not guilty to each of the six felony counts against them.

The Times-Picayune reports state District Judge Franz Zibilich read indictments against the teens during the arraignment. Each entered a plea of not guilty to four counts of aggravated rape and one count each of aggravated kidnapping and armed robbery.

The teens, who are being tried as adults, allegedly forced a 30-year-old woman into a car at gunpoint on Feb. 4. They are accused of driving her around for an hour, beating and raping her and forcing her to withdraw cash from various ATMs.
