We constantly hear that the Democrats are the champions of the downtrodden, and that the “wealthy” are benefiting at the expense of the oppressed.

Take this as an example: during the recent discussion of the “Bush Tax Cuts,” Sen. Landrieu defended her position against extending the “Bush Tax Cuts” by saying, “the plan borders on moral recklessness.”

She continued her diatribe by saying she was being asked by the president and Republican leaders to support the continuation of the tax cuts, not only for the middle class, which she supports, but for people earning more than $1 million a year, when the government just reported a record $1.3 trillion deficit.

Isn’t it ironic that she and her kind believe that the “rich” haven’t earned their money, or worse, that their incomes belong to the government to do with it as it will?

Didn’t those who earned the $1 million or more income bear the entrepreneurial risk required to earn this income, and in so doing, didn’t they create jobs for those who lack the temerity to do likewise?

Didn’t the corporate CEOs invest the time and money to obtain the necessary education and track record to induce shareholders to hire them as well as satisfy the shareholders’ Earnings Per Share requirements? Will they next ask those who earn over a certain amount to pay more for food items so others can pay less for the same items?

Additionally, the Democrats continue to ignore the fact that the top 50 percent of the taxpayers pay 95 percent or more of the taxes collected. Do they really believe the top 50 percent should pay 100 percent?

Moreover, won’t the Obama Health Reform bill, which Landrieu supported in return for an approximate $300 million fix to Louisiana’s Medicaid crisis, contribute largely to this deficit? Was her vote not self-serving, as it added another $300 million to the deficit? As an aside, what is “middle class?” Congress has yet to define that worn-out term!

Also, Sen. Landrieu and so many of her kind are pro-choice. In her 1996 senatorial campaign, she clearly stated she was “pro-choice” and strongly believed “in a woman’s right to choose,” and did not support “any attempt to weaken the Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade.” Personally, it is difficult to reconcile the image of her and her confederates being a champion for the subjugated with their “pro-choice” posture. Isn’t the unborn the most helpless in our society? This is, not borders on, moral recklessness!

Consider 1 Corinthians 2:5, “… your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” When God created us, he gave each of us the necessary attributes to execute his plan for our lives. Yet, the Democratic demigods continue to convince their constituents that they are handicapped and can’t make it on their own. Thus, they must depend on their leaders for survival.

If these narcissistic blowhards really cared about their charges, they would encourage them to fully utilize their talents and our educational programs to obtain an education or vocational skill and develop a tenacious work ethic so that they, too, can live the abundant and rewarding life God planned for them.
