In an effort to promote healthy lifestyles on campus, the Wolfpack Wellness Committee will host the third annual Loyola Wolfpack Wellness Expo.

“The expo will provide an opportunity for the Loyola community to visit healthy lifestyle vendors from on and off campus,” said Michael Giorlando, director of Athletics and Wellness.

Loyola-sponsoredbooths will include Student Health Services, University Counseling, University Ministry and the Loyola bookstore.

The expo will also feature booths for Odwalla, La Divina, GNC, Catholic Bookstore and Southern Runner, as well as booths for Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Sigma Healthcare, the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

University Sports Complex personal trainers and intramurals will feature chef demonstrations on healthy eating, dieticians and massage therapists.

Children’s Hospital will also be there promoting the Rock ‘n’ Roll half marathon and 5k race.

Ochsner Blood Bank will hold a blood drive starting at 11:30 a.m. Those who donate blood will be eligible to win two plaza-level Saints home game tickets for regular and post season games.

A drawing will be held three days before each game to determine a winner. Each additional blood donation will earn another entry into the drawing.

The expo will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 13 from noon until 2:30 p.m. in the St. Charles Room.
