After making it to the semifinals of the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament, the Wolf Pack fell to the William Carey College Crusaders 86-71 on Friday night.

The Wolf Pack was plagued by a slow start that saw them trailing by 41-27 heading into the half.

The Crusaders pulled away by as much as 20 points in the second half that left Loyola battling back in the remaining minutes of the game.

Junior Nick Parker brought the score to within eight points with over 11 minutes remaining.

However, the Crusaders attack was too much for Loyola to handle, as quick field goals put Loyola down by 19 with a few minutes remaining.

The Wolf Pack were out rebounded by the Crusaders 43-30 and gave away 21 turnovers in the season-ending loss.

Sophomore Tre’von Jasmine led the team with 17 points off the bench while Parker helped with 12 points.

The Wolf Pack finish the season with an overall record of 22-9 and a conference record of 14-6.

Loyola’s 22 wins put them at second most in program history, with the most wins in a season by the men’s team in over 70 years.
