What role do you think the Senate should have in determining how elections are run?
The Senate should have a say in how elections are run, because it has experience conducting the process fairly.

Should senators be required to hold bi-semester town halls with the constituents from their college?
Senators are in their positions to be representatives of their colleges and voice issues that their constituents are concerned with. I think that it would definitely be helpful for senators to hear from their constituents in a more structured setting, although most of these issues should be brought up as needed in one-on-one situations.

If a large portion of the student body thinks their senators aren’t representing them properly, what should the students do?
The students who feel their senators aren’t representing them properly should attend weekly Senate meetings in the Audubon Room on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. There they can voice any issues or concerns to the Senate members.

Why are you running for this position?
I’ve had the amazing opportunity to be a part of the First-Year Council, which has introduced me to SGA and has prepared me for the senator position I am currently running for. As a College of Business senator, I would like to be the liaison between SGA and the student body, a voice for my peers. I would make sure that concerns are voiced and that everyone’s opinions are heard and considered when making decisions. It would be an absolute honor and privilege to be elected College of Business senator.

If elected, what do you hope to accomplish as a senator for SGA?
While in office, I would like to see that the decisions made in the Senate accurately represent the opinions of the student body. I would take on any projects that will favor the interests of my constituents.

Why should students vote for you?
My goals in this position will consist of being a good listener, accurately representing my peers and acting on the ideas presented. I am very organized, open and approachable. I would like my constituents to know. I would like my constituents to know that I will be dedicated to the position once elected.
