On Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, the Loyola University women’s basketball team travelled to Mobile, Alabama to face University of Mobile in a Southern States Athletic Conference matchup. The game was close early on and a back and forth affair with neither team being able to gain separation from the other.

At halftime, the Wolf Pack held a 29-28 lead over Mobile but would come out with more focus in the second half.

The Wolf Pack would open the third quarter on an 11-3 run to extend their lead to 40-31 and would not look back from there.

Going into the fourth quarter, the lead for the Wolf Pack was 43-37, but once again, they would open the quarter with another scoring run, going on a 14-5 run to extend their six point lead to 15 point cushion and virtually end the game.

The Wolf Pack would go on to win 66-51, being led in scoring by freshman guard Megan Worry, who scored 17 points and showed great range knocking down multiple three point field goal attempts. Sophomore guard Zoie Miller showed great poise as well controlling the offense and setting her teammates up in positions to score.

The win now brings the Wolf Pack’s current record to 19-6 with a 13-3 record in SSAC conference games. The women’s team will have a three-day break before travelling to Blue Mountain, Mississippi to play conference foe Blue Mountain College on Feb. 25.
