Loyola receives Play Therapy Center endowment

The Loyola University New Orleans Play Therapy Center of Education and Research has annouced that it will receive an endowment from The Heebe Family at Touro Infirmary.

With Loyola set to host the Louisiana Association of Play Therapy’s annual conference Feb. 26-27, this gift from The Heebe Family Fund will ensure a lasting legacy for the center.

The endowment will help to fund training and education workshops for healthcare professionals, including mental health counselors that aid families struggling with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

In addition, the funding of more Play Therapy literature and videos to Loyola’s Monroe Library, creation of an online Play Therapy catalogue and the establishment of workshop scholarships will be included.
