No.25 Loyola extends its seven game win streak with a 57-54 victory over Auburn University at Montgomery

Loyola Women’s Basketball team extended its winning streak to seven games with a win over Auburn University at Montgomery on Jan. 18.

The win streak puts the Wolf Pack ranked at twenty-fourth in the NAIA D1 Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll.

Freshman guard Megan Worry’s career high of 20 points and 11 rebounds helped the Wolf Pack maintain the lead late in the game.

The Wolf Pack’s latest victory helps them improve to 13-3 on the season. The Wolf Pack remains undefeated in conference play as well as they are 8-0 on the year against conference opponents.

Loyola was 9/18 (50%) from the three points line while the Warhawks were 2 of 20 (20%) from deep.

Meghan Temple, junior forward, added seven points and 11 boards. Additionally, senior forward, Adrianne Sloboh chipped in with 11 points and eight rebounds in the victory.

The Wolf Pack returns to action on Jan. 21, as they host Blue Mountain College for a special “Throwback Thursday” game starting at 5:30 p.m.
