Three Loyola biology graduates are conducting research across the U.S. and abroad.
Juan Calix, A'05, has been studying Streptococcus pneumonia and researching what factors contribute to someone becoming sick.
Margaret Couvillon, A'00, has been studying the challenges bees have in collecting food by studying their "dances" or movements.
Couvillon's research has been featured in a TED Talk at the Houses of Parliament in London.
Christopher Gabler, A'04, is researching how the climate change will affect the Gulf Coast wetlands so coastal fishermen and agriculturists can make changes to improve their sustainability.
