Five drinking games suitable for college students of age

It's a combination of both America's favor- ite pastime and one of America's favorite drinks. You will need a bat (preferably a Wiffle Ball bat to decrease likelihood of chipped teeth and trips to the hospital), beer and a few friends. Cut off the top of the Wiffle Ball bat and pour a beer into the bat. Drink the beer, then place your head on the bat and spin around 10 times. Your friend pitches you an empty beer can and you must hit it with the bat. If you miss, spin around the bat three more times. Repeat until you hit the can. You fall and you and your friends laugh. Everybody has a good time.

You'll be hard-pressed to find a game that's easier to remember. All you need is a friend, a drink and a deck of cards. A card is picked and you must guess whether it is a red or black card. If you are wrong, drink for the number of sec- onds equivalent to the card value. Aces are one second, Jacks are 11, Queens are 12 and Kings are 13.

Polish horseshoes is an outdoor game played between two teams of two people. You'll need two empty bottles (glass beer bottles work best), two stakes, a Frisbee and drinks - one for each player. The stakes are driven into the ground about 20 feet away from each other, and a bottle is balanced on each stake. The object of the game is to knock the bottle off your opponent's stake using the Frisbee. However, everyone must be holding a drink at all times, and your opponent must catch the Frisbee with- out blocking it from hitting the bottle. Points are awarded when the bottle is knocked off the stake, your opponent catches the bottle after
it has been knocked off, the Frisbee is thrown out of reach of your opponent and is uncatch- able, and when your opponent fails to catch the Frisbee. You must also drink each time your opponent scores a point. First team to score 21 points wins.

If you're in the mood to get a sweat in while you're drinking, this game is for you.
You'll need a large table, two Ping Pong balls, beer and at least four friends. Stack four full beer cans on each end of the table and throw the Ping Pong ball at the set of cans across the table. When your ball hits the cans, your oppo- nent must retrieve the ball as quickly as possible and touch it to the table. While your opponent is getting the ball, drink from your set of cans. Your opponent will attempt to hit your cans at the same time. First team to finish all four beers wins.

You'll need two 40-ounce refreshing beverages for each person playing, duct tape
and at least two friends (one of which will be a designated observer). While holding the drink
in each hand, have the designated observer duct tape them to your hands. Next, finish those pup- pies. The first to finish both, or the last to pass out, wins. If you have one drinking partner, duct tape one 40-ounce drink to one hand or forget the duct tape and use this game as an excuse for drinking on a budget.

You'll need at least three people, a quarter, a shot glass for each person and plenty of beer. Everyone sits around a table and takes turns try- ing to bounce the quarter into their shot glass. If you make it in, you get another turn and you get to choose a person to drink. If you miss, the person to your right gives it a try, and so on. "If someone is saying you're bad, you can target that person," psychology senior Katie Gilmore said. "I'm not big on drinking games, but I really like this one."
