University President the Rev. Kevin Wildes, S.J., received the 2012 Martin Luther King Jr. Jazz Award along with six other New Orleans residents.
The award is given to members of the community who exemplify King's spirit as well as his vision. The people who received the award are known for enriching their community through music and arts and fostering economic prosperity.
