Loyola's centennial class has the largest enrollment since Katrina. These men and women come from all over the world to study at Loyola University. The freshman class comes from as many places as Metairie, Louisiana; Plano, Texas and Madrid, Spain. These incoming freshmen might not know it, but they've been greeted by a huge number of renovations.
Dear Editor, In the Maroon's recent article on the Center for Intercultural Understanding's renovation plans, marketing junior, Jasmine Bailey, was quoted as saying Loyola isn't just a white student body, "and a lot of the big players in the administration would like it to seem that way.
Dining Services is very excited about our new renovations. From the Orleans Room to the Underground, everything has been re-designed. Dining Services conducted research to create the new dining locations, and we are very proud of the results. Beginning in the Orleans Dining Room you will notice we have changed the layout of the stations.
The stereotypes that plague the Greek system at Loyola have shaped the way students and administration view a certain fifteen organizations on our campus. Do higher-ups at Loyola want to rid the university of Greek life? I don't know if I'd go that far, but I can present a few cases that give me a suspicious feeling.

Professors at Loyola get special attention from the credit crisis
The faculty senate approved the Student Government Association's smoking policy, after Robert Gerlich, S.J. voted in favor, breaking the tie.
"I am absentee voting," graphic design sophomore Audrey Schreck said.

This is fine and good, as Loyola will see better results: a cleaner campus and a higher skilled work force.

Libraries across the country are developing spaces called Information Commons, Learning Commons or Research Commons. At Loyola University New Orleans, the mission of the Monroe Library's Learning Commons is to provide a collaborative space where students, faculty and staff can come together to study, learn, teach and socialize.
