The Market Chef

If you’ve been craving South American cuisine lately, give these Mexican-inspired foods a try.

Nachos:

You’ll need: scoop-shaped chips ($3.99), cheddar cheese ($4.59), a knife and a microwave-safe plate.

How to: Take the scoop chip and put them on the plate. Slice the cheese into squares that fit inside the scoop of the chip, and place them on the chips. Microwave for 25 seconds. Make sure to wait just a few seconds before you eat, because the cheese will be hot. Try adding different toppings like chili or peppers to spice it up.

WARNING: Extremely addicting. Make at your own risk!

Quesadilla:

You’ll need: whole wheat pita bread ($1.89), cheddar cheese ($4.59), a knife and a microwave-safe plate.

How to: Spread the pita bread flat on the plate. Slice some cheddar cheese in thick strips and place them on the bread. Microwave for 30 seconds (make sure to wait for it to cool).

Then, fold it in half and enjoy! You can also throw in diced onions or tomatoes for extra taste.
