Brief: Men’s basketball victorious in tourney opener

Loyola’s men’s basketball team defeated the College of Coastal Georgia Mariners in Montgomery, Ala. Feb. 27. The Pack beat the Mariners 99-72 at the SSAC men’s tournament in the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl. Finance junior McCall Tomemy scored 40 points and had 14 rebounds during the game, the highest in his college basketball career. The team advanced to the quater finals against Lee University Feb. 28. car
