Brief: Loyola tennis defeats Louisiana College

Loyola University men’s and women’s tennis teams scored big over Louisiana College on Saturday, March 9. The game took place in City Park. The men’s team (3-6, 0-4) came away 7-2 winners while the women (3-6, 0-4) beat the Wildcats 9-0. The men’s team players Tarun Surat, Jaron Belcher and Joshua Laviolette won at number one, two and three singles positions without losing a game. The doubles teams of Surat/Belcher and Laviolette/Mayhall scored 8-0 victories over their Wildcat opponents. The women’s team had similar success as Meghan de Baroncelli and Westley Dejoie both swept their opponents at the number one and six single positions. Both Wolf Pack tennis teams will play Schreiner University this Friday, March 15. at 3 p.m. in City Park.
