Brief: Loyola rugby team beats LA Tech

Loyola Rugby team beat Louisiana Tech 62-26 on Saturday, March 9. This put the team at a 9-3 record for the season. The rugby team is invited to play in the 7 Man Collegiate Rugby Championships. The 7 Man Collegiate Rugby Championships is held in Jacksonville, Fla. on April 6. Loyola Rugby coach Sam Brock said, “It’s a big deal. Only six divisions, three teams in the entire south were invited. We played LSU tough earlier this year and feel we have a legitimate shot to win the south and advance to Philadelphia in June for the National Championships.”
