Brief: Women’s hoops nearly places in NAIA top 25

The women’s basketball team received the 26th most votes in the NAIA’s preseason poll, just placing them out of the top 25. Head coach Kellie Kennedy feels good about beginning their new season in a couple of weeks. In the 2011-2012 season, the team held a 23-6 overall record, the second best winning percentage in the program’s history. The season begins Nov. 9 in Miami with the first regular season NAIA Top 25 poll following on Dec. 4.
