Brief: Volleyball team loses first home game

Wolf Pack volleyball dropped its home opening game to Spring Hill College (12-3, 3-0) on Tuesday night, losing a close three sets-to-two contest. The match moved the ‘Pack overall record to 9-3 overall and 1-3 in the SSAC. Spring Hill won an extended first set by a score 30-28. Loyola came back with a win in the second set with a score of 25-17.

The match would continue with teams trading set victories until the fifth set of the match. The match ended with a Loyola error when an attempted kill went out of bounds, giving Spring Hill the victory in the final set 15-13. Lauren Brand had a standout performance for Loyola in the match with 19 kills. The ‘Pack’s Eva Allen also added 18 kills.
