Brief: Pack Volleyball drops game to Belhaven

Loyola Volleyball dropped its five set match against Belhaven University (12-3, 4-1). Loyola got off to a slow start in the match with the conference opponent dropping the first two sets by scores of 20-25 and 21-25 respectively. In danger of being swept, Loyola was able to rally and win the next two sets. The Pack won a close third set 25-23 and took the fourth set 25-21.
Loyola didn’t have enough for the dramatic win, dropping a tense fifth by a score 14-16. Libero Becca Burrnett had a strong night defensively with 38 digs on the night in the losing effort. Loyola will face Coastal Georgia at the Den on Friday, Sept. 28 in the first of five straight matches at home.
