Tennis teams fall to ranked William Carey squads

Both the men and women tennis teams lost to tough William Carey squads this past Saturday.
Loyola hosted the No. 6 men’s and No. 12 women’s William Carey teams at the City Park Tennis Center.

The men’s team fell 7-2 and the women lost 9-0.

Steven Le and Ernesto de Diego won in their doubles match up versus Paul Chabaud and Lucien Samitier.

Maxime Rumeau also had a strong performance in his singles win, defeating his opponent 6-4, 2-6, 7-6.

The women’s team fought hard but could not best their opponents. They left the match up winless, but optimal for their next chance at competition.

The team will face off in the SSAC Roundup in Mobile, Alabama on March 24-25.
