Sexual battery reported in Buddig Hall

According to Loyola University Police, a Loyola student reported a sexual battery Sunday, Nov. 20 at 8:40 p.m. which occurred in Buddig Hall the morning of Saturday, Nov. 19 between 2 and 4 a.m. The student reported the suspect to be a 19-year-old white male who was not a Loyola community member. NOPD was notified, and the matter is under investigation.

LUPD reminds the Loyola Community that victims are never responsible for an offender’s behavior, to travel in groups and trust one’s instincts and that consent means having the ability to make a decision, meaning an incapacitated person cannot give consent.

Anyone with information about this or other crimes occurring on campus may contact LUPD at 504-865-3434.
