Loyola Volleyball drops four games in Colorado Road Trip

Loyola’s volleyball team started the season off with a road trip to Colorado featuring games against Embry-Riddle, Johnson & Wales University, Benedictine University at Mesa and University of Montana-Western.

The WolfPack dropped their first two games of the season on the same day they lost a (3-0) match to Embry-Riddle and a (3-1) match to Johnson & Wales.

Loyola finished up the road trip the following day with two more losses to Benedictine University at Mesa and University of Montana-Western. Both matches resulted in (3-0) defeats as Loyola failed to win a single set on the last day of competition.

Psychology sophomore Maddie Huekels led the Wolfpack in Colorado with a team-high 15 assists to go along with six kills and five digs. Additionally, Huekels recorded 51 assists throughout the road trip.

The WolfPack will look to bounce back on Friday, Aug. 27 when they take on Huston-Tillotson University at First NBC Court.
